 | 12:21 pm - The Protomen - The Hounds Sung by Wily:
Tonight the streets are red, the lights are blue and blinding. No sign of the "Good Doctor," but the siren's wail and whining Tell us he'll be found.
I can almost hear the hounds...
What kind of man builds a machine to kill a girl? No he did not use his hands. Like a smart man, he used a tool. But just the same, How can you question who's to blame?
(What was her name?)
It doesn't matter. Now listen... "The Good Doctor" has to pay!
When I say he was a monster, when I set fire to his name, It does not matter where you hear it from, whether truth or lies, It gets said all the same.
Whatever's on the table plays!
There is a flame I have been fanning. There is a fire waiting to catch. There is a hell that has been building from the moment we first met.
If there ever was a time, If there ever was a chance, To undo the things I've done and wash these bloodstains from my hands,
It has passed and been forgotten. These are the paths that we must take. Cause you and I, Tom, we are men And we can bend and we can break.
If you think that you can run, If you think that you can stand, Well you forget who turned this city on. You forget who plugged this city in!
They'll not switch it off again.
One by one they're tuning in.

 | 01:48 pm - Why get up in the morning, unless you're going to have an adventure? One of the cool things about working third shift is that if I ever take direct leave of my senses decide that sleep is less important than DOING STUFF, I technically have a free day off in-between shifts. I don't think I'll be able to take them very often, mostly because sleep deprivation is fun only for the first 24 hours... but once or twice every so often is perfectly acceptable for such "free" days. Wednesday was my first one. ( Stingrays, leather and roadtrips oh my! [+5 pictures] )
So yes. Random roadtrips are win. I don't think I can do a lot of these all the time, but every once and a while makes for fun times. Current Mood: relaxed Current Music: Responsibility ~ MxPx

 | 09:18 pm - Nooooooooooooo Ugh, adventuring takes it out of you. I have an awesomesauce post almost edited, but I just spent twelve hours sleeping. Uggggghhhhh. LUCKILY, I think I caught it in time, so tonight/tomorrow I'm going to be hammering whateveritis with vitamins and healthy shit.
But yeah. No fun. Throat's swollen, feel like there's something heavy sitting on my chest... I pray to whatever God is still watching me that my bronchitis isn't coming back. Do NOT need that back. Ever. Feelin' better after the long sleep, so hopefully one more day/night of that and I should be back to normal....
I hope. Current Mood: sick Current Music: Jenny Says ~ Cowboy Mouth

 | 07:54 pm - I <3 Battletech sourcebooks sometimes “In 2972, a crack commando team was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Inner Sphere underground. Pursued by the government they once worked for, they survived as soldiers of fortune, ultimately passing the torch to a new generation of heroes. Today, if you have a problem, and you can find them, maybe you can hire the Bounty Hunters.” --From Interstellar Players, the section on The Bounty Hunter

 | 02:37 pm - Black Fridays can be Brutal So... It turns out I screwed up the rotator cuff on my right shoulder on Black Friday! It wasn't until 4 days later was I able to get to the doctors to see help. (Okay the first couple of days I thought I had just pulled something.) It was pretty painful! Lying down was too much so I had to sleep in my computer chair. I would have typed something out only it hurt to much to reach the keyboard. It was pretty bad.
Thankfully the pain meds I'm on still let me take my sleep test! And yeah, I totally have sleep apnea. However CPAP machines just weren't enough for the crazy hard-ass sleep apnea I have, which is the Rambo of sleep apnea. So I was upgraded to BiPAP. I can kind of move my arm around again and hopefully I'll be sleeping way better. So that's pretty boss.

 | 11:45 am - BEST DAY EVER! So on a whim and a bout of inspiration from my friend merimask (check out her shop on Etsy) hawthornegem and I took a road trip to Chattanooga to the leather factory up there. There we procured an 8 oz hide for around $40.00. The factory was awesome and I got to see a lot of the tools that leather tooler's use.
Welp, then we decided we were hungry. Go figure, around that much animal skin you get hungry. So we made our way to the Mellow Mushroom pizza place in downtown, where I also met hawthornegem's friend FauxPas. No I don't know her real name. Anyway while eating pizza and talking with FauxPas we figured we are less then one block from the Tennessee Aquarium, so why not go? We found no reason not to so we did.
And this is what we saw! ( Aquarium pics! )
The rest will have to come later. I've got to get some food! Also Leather Mask Making Is Hard! Current Mood: jubilant

 | 11:26 pm - OILD, DAY 2 Okay guys, awesomesauce post coming later, but before Dec. 2nd ends, I gotta get my Obligatory Ice Level post up for today!
We're still going strong with the Ice Cap Zone theme, but today I bring maps of the icy level! This site has maps for ALL of the Sonic Zones, but of course with OILD in mind, Ice Cap is the one we're particularly interested in:
Here Be Dragons Badniks
As you're looking over the maps, you'll notice that Ice Cap is actually one big loop on itself. I'd try to explain, but there's a fellow who does it better than I do (as is more entertaining) ::
No YouTube Embedding for you. Imma nice today.
Just so you won't leave empty handed, another interesting tidbit I've found in my travels around the Internet is sheet music for Ice Cap Zone! I haven't gotten a chance to tinker with it yet, so I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the music... but it's sheet music of my favorite video game level. Things can be forgiven!

 | 10:24 am One good thing about this time of year is that THERE ARE POMEGRANATES IN THE STORE.
Consequently, THERE ARE POMEGRANATES AT MY HOUSE
FOR ME TO EAT.
(There is also a pomegranate on my desk now that I am eating. They are one of my favorite snacks.)

 | 09:17 am Trufax I secretly fear that I am Mike in this comic.
Granted, I think like 90% of people do. Or at least, people I am friends with.

 | 11:55 pm - Well OILD be... Obligatory Ice Level Day was just the kick in the pants I needed to help break my funk. Ice just makes me happy and getting to share one of my favorite level-types with... well, a lot of people, just gives me warm fuzzies all over.
I don't have near the dedication (or time) that jazaaboo does, but I can do my own little part to help the celebration. I'd love to post art for each day, but I think variety is the spice of life... so you'll be getting a little mix of everything from me. Music one day, art the next... maybe some cool secrets or three. That is where I'm starting this holiday season.
Today's post, as it is still December 1st, is the first remix of Ice Cap I loaded onto my old Macintosh:
